Raised in Hawaii, Rob was exposed to two of his biggest loves: dance music and reggae. After moving to New York City, he and three partners launched Brooklyn’s Alldisco night, which was named one of the Village Voice’s Best Parties of NYC in 2005. Rob is also a producer and has had his remixes featured on BBC’s urban radio station 1Xtra and Roots FM 96.1 in Jamaica.
He has produced many bootleg remixes under the name Robzilla, and released his first single “World Keeps Spinning” on Brooklyn’s Dutty Artz label, which is available on iTunes. He’s been written about by XLR8R, The Village Voice and BlackBook, and had his tracks played by DJs like Matt Shadetek, DJ Select and Machinedrum. He lives in the East Village.
