Miles Arntzen
Born and raised in Manhattan, Miles Arntzen has dedicated his life to music, beginning with his first drum lesson at age 6. He has already racked up an impressive resume as a performer, producer and DJ. Miles joined internationally renowned touring band Antibalas as their drummer and conductor at age 19; he toured the world drumming with Will Butler of Arcade Fire in 2015; he has performed and collaborated with artists such as The Roots, Sharon Jones, Tune-Yards, Amber Mark, Charles Bradley, and more.
While performing with Antibalas and his former band EMEFE in 2014, he began DJ’ing afterparties and quickly grew a style all his own. Whether its 70s afrobeat, 80s diva pop, 90s hip hop classics, or 2000’s throwback jams - even adding live percussion when the mood strikes - there are no bounds to Miles’ creativity as a selector and on-the-spot mash-up artist. Miles has maintained a successful monthly residency at Tribeca’s Belle Reve since 2016 and has also DJed on The Lot Radio.
