Ben Goldfarb
Ben Goldfarb, better known as DJ Scribe, fell in love with music at an early age and never fell out. Inspired by groups like Public Enemy and The Pharcyde in the golden age of hip-hop, he started spinning and collecting records. Hip-hop led him back in time to soul, funk, disco, R&B, reggae and jazz. He steadily increased his repertoire, incorporating afrobeat, house, broken-beat, latin, and the 80’s pop of his youth into his sets.
He has been spinning full-time since 2002. In that time, he has developed numerous notable residencies in NYC at venues like Joe’s Pub, Knitting Factory and APT, and played all over the world. In 2009, Scribe founded his current, and most successful venture to date, I Love Vinyl, an all-vinyl dance party featuring the “Dream Team,” six resident DJs playing every party together. Scribe has also done studio work, including mixing DJ Spinna’s remixes of tracks by Michael Jackson and Shaun Escoffery.
Ben joined the 74 Events family in 2012.
